It is mainly to cool 2-8mm dimension pellets, when outlet from pellet machines, the hot pellets temperature is about 60-80 centigrade, after cooling, the temperature is not higher than room temperature ±3-5 degree.
The cooling theory is that cold air goes inside of cooler from bottom to top, hot pellets goes to cooler from top to bottom, as time goes on, pellets will pulse at the cooler bottom, cold air will cool them at the bottom gradually, in this way will reduce pellet broken. If cold air also go to cooler from top, which same as pellets, then hot pellets will meet with cold air suddenly, then pellets will be easily broken, especially pellets surface. In this way can cool fully and equally, pellet broken rate is smaller than 0.2%.
It generally works with cyclone and air fan, air lock. Which is used to clean dust, also it can install a screener at the cooler bottom, which can separate dust and good pellets after cooling.
The Working principle of Counterflow Cooler: 1.The working principle of SKLN Counterflow Cooler is that the hot and wet pellets which come from the Pellet Press enter into the cooler from the airlock on the top of cooler and through taper type distributor equipment which can make pellets to different top, bottom, left, right and middle parts enter in the cooler.
2.When counter flow cooler starts towork, the pellets will be accumulated gradually. When the position of pellets arrives to Level Detector, the brake motor will be connected to start work.
3.Driving by Reducer and eccentric mechanism,the Discharge Frame move from left to right to discharge the materials.
4.When the relative position between Movement Discharge Frame and Fixed Frame reaches certain extent., the materials will fall down and discharge from the gap between Movement Discharge Frame and Fixed Frame.
5.When the relative position between Movement Discharge Frame and FixFrame are staggered, the materials will not be discharged.
6.The materials will be intermittent discharged during the process of cycled movement. When the quantity of discharge is larger than feed-in, the pellets will reduce and leave the position of Level Sensor, motor will stop work and the discharge will be end.
7.When pellets touch the Level Sensor, the motor will start to work and start a now discharge process which can guarantee the continuous cooling production.Fan is always running during the whole cooling process.
8.The pellets in the cooler flow from top to bottom and the Air flows from bottom to top. The above two flow positions are opposite which can form counterflow cooling.
9.Therefore, this Cooler belongs to counterflow type. The pellets will stay in the cooler for some time, the natural air will enter into the coller from the bottom.
10.It will make heat exchange through the material`s layer in the body of Cooler.
