The principle of biomass fuel molding is to cold-press the biomass without adding any binder. Lignin is amorphous, has no melting point, but has a softening point. In the direction perpendicular to the large stress, the particles are mainly combined in the form of intermeshing, while in the direction perpendicular to the small stress, the particles are mainly combined in the form of close adhesion. With the increase of the external force, the biomass volume decreases greatly, the bulk density increases significantly, and has a certain shape and strength.
