Zhijiang City, Hubei Province banned 103 waste plastic pellet workshops

[ Zhongsu Online News ] After more than two years of rectification, 103 waste plastic pellets and workshops in Zhijiang City, Hubei Province have been banned according to law.

According to the relevant person in charge of Zhijiang Environmental Protection Bureau, these waste plastic pellets and workshops have not undergone environmental impact assessment, and no pollution prevention measures have been taken to pollute irrigation water, land and air. There are more than 100 complaints involving such pollution every year. In order to protect the environmental rights and interests of the people, in June 2012, Zhijiang City formed a special class for rectification and was banned according to law.

The rectification action of Zhijiang City focused on the combination of unblocking and guiding the transformation and upgrading of the workshop. At present, more than 70% of the banned workshops are on the road to transformation and upgrading.
